Why do online salesman have better deals then on the lot? I've been asking for some price quotes online from the dealership and i've noticed something. The prices seem WAY better then what they cost in person. For instance on edmunds this is what the total was WITH rebates : Customer Cash Adjusted True Market Value $27,145+tax From a online dealer the price is $26,999+tax And another have the Sale Price as: $ 25,042 + tax Also the rebates was - Online Discount: $ 3,948 Why are these rebates so good and why does it sound like such a good deal? The mismanaged, weak economy is continuing to take a toll on working families. In March, employment was down by 80,000 jobs, and since the start of the year the economy has lost 232,000 jobs. The last time the economy saw three straight months of employment decline was April 2003. Today’s release also indicates that job losses in January and February were worse than initially reported: Employment in those months was revised downward by 67,000 jobs. The number of unemployed persons rose to 7,815,000 in March. The last time the number of unemployed was so high was in December 2004, and the number of unemployed has not increased as much over the course of a year since August 2002. While the unemployment rate increase of 0.3 percentage points is a significant jump from February, it should more accurately be viewed as a continuation of a year-long trend of rising unemployment. These most recent job losses come on top of a period of very weak job growth, making today’s news that much more troubling. Over the past year, the economy has created only 536,000 jobs—far less than the pace needed just to keep up with population growth. In contrast, the economy created about 2 million jobs in 2006, which was a relatively weak year of economic recovery. In the late 1990s, the economy was creating 3 million jobs per year. Job losses were widespread. The collapsing housing market continued its downward pull on the economy, but significant losses were felt in many other sectors, especially manufacturing and professional services. Job losses were led by the struggling construction sector, where 51,000 jobs were lost in March. Since March of last year, construction has lost 356,000 jobs. Manufacturing continued its long slide, losing 48,000 jobs for the month. Manufacturing has lost jobs nearly every month for the past several years. For the past year, losses in the sector total 310,000 jobs. Professional services, a sector that had been growing in recent months, declined by 35,000 jobs in March. Over the past year, the sector has still produced 161,000 jobs. Temporary help services fell by over 21,000 for the month, indicating that hiring is likely to be weak for some time. Increases in temporary employment can indicate a growing need for workers. As has been the case for some time, jobs increased in health care, restaurants, and government, but gains in these sectors were not enough to prevent the overall employment figures from appearing grim. Healthcare added nearly 23,000 jobs in March, and has generated just over 360,000 new jobs over the past year. Restaurant employment increased by 23,000 for the month, and has added nearly 290,000 jobs for the year. Government added 18,000 jobs, and has added 244,000 since March 2007. The Department of Labor report also indicates that the economic downturn is hitting the Latino community particularly hard. The employment-to-population ratio—a good measure of the overall strength of the labor market—fell the sharpest for Hispanics in March, declining to 63.7 percent from 64.3 percent. In contrast the employment-to-population ration for whites held steady at 63.3 percent. The ratio for African Americans also fell, but by a lesser amount, to 58.2 percent from 58.4 percent. The job market has been particularly hard on those with less skills—workers with a high school degree or less—a category that includes many immigrants. The employment-to-population ratio fell for the month to 42.3 percent from 43.0 percent for people with less than a high school diploma, and to 59.1 percent from 59.7 for those with a high school degree. In contrast, the employment-to-population ratio for those with more education held steady or increased: For those with some college it remained about the same, going to 69.3 percent to 69.4 percent, and for those with a bachelor’s degree or more it increased to 77.0 percent from 76.5. All told, today’s jobs figures paint a bleak picture of a weak economy. There is no way to put a positive face on today’s job figures. The labor market has been in the doldrums for years, with well below average job growth, flat wages, and declining benefits. This has forced families deeper and deeper into record amounts of debt. And just as families are beginning to ponder how they are ever going to repay this debt, the rug is pulled out from under them as jobs become scarcer. The weak labor market is inflicting the greatest harm on those who are the most vulnerable. Policymakers who have ignored the trouble signs brewing in the labor market for years need to craft an economic recovery plan that addresses the current nosedive in the labor market, but also the long-term weakness that preceded it. The recently enacted economic stimulus plan will help kick-start the economy when checks go out to taxpayers this summer, but it needs to be followed by a reorientation of our longer-term economic policies to make the economy work for real people with real economic problems—not just financial markets dealing with mostly self-inflicted pain. Starting a new division what should payouts be? I have been asked to start a new divinsion of an online direct marketing company. Although this is a high profile positions the base salary is way under what someone would normaly get at an exisitng company. Essentialy building the database up and re-marketing this data. I have been offered 10 percent net revenue of this division, but I have to cover all costs with this 10 percent. . If this division does 5 million in revenue, the division gets $500K to cover Salaries/Commissions, Technology, Misc. I feel this is not a great deal? Am I wrong here?

I’m seeking an online broker? I live in Atlanta and I have about 5k and I’m wanting to do some online trading. I’m really not looking for a lot of suggestions of what or when to buy. I will be buying (stock/ mutual funds) pretty much for the mid to long term (holding at lease 1 to 5 years) and maybe only making 2 to 5 trades (if any) a month. I’m looking for a company were when I place an order, the order is place and doesn‘t have a lot of fees. I think I heard someplace that some places can take their time in posting your order (is that true?). Basically if there something I want to buy I just want to be able to log on and buy it. This way Job search sites profit both from spam companies as well as from your participation. I have been applying to jobs online and now my email account gets jammed full to the rim with spam in a matter of hours. On the Job search side, I got nothing back in return. I am the lead singer/vocalist in a rock/pop band, The Embezzles, (name have been changed quite a few times within the past few months)and we’re very similar to Paramore and Linkin Park. We’re sort of a big deal in East Texas with an increasing fan base which continues to grow expendably great but we have a big problem communicating and contacting fans. We’ve tried everything from Post Office boxes, Private Mailboxes and social networking sties. Unfortunately, the Postal Services are on shaky ground. Postal Services have rules and regulations to combat mail fraud and other crimes committed using postal and private mailboxes which sounds convincing but the postal services are on the wrong side here. Rather than protecting privacy they are seeking to invade it and rather than allowing some consumer choice they are looking to stifle what little competition exists. Unfortunately, scam artists also utilize the convenience of private mailboxes to hide illegal activities, such as credit card fraud, identity theft and schemes to swindle the elderly. In other words or simple terms, P.O. boxes and Private Mailboxes are growing concerns of the postal services used in order to single out P.O. boxes and PMB(private mailboxes) who have personal accounts instead of business accounts. We would like to have an address rather than using one of our own physical home address because you guys are aware of fans(groupies) can be a bit psychotic at times when bands are in the limelight destined for stardom. Instead of selling merchandise, passing out flyers, etc. from our tour van/hotel (lol) J, we decided that we want to be able to reach fans outside of our 100 mile radius giving fans the opportunity to write personal letters to one our band members, pics or whatever the fans want to give their favorite band (The Embezzles ) ,in order to converse on numerous occasions, but we do not want to give the government or postal office or any carrier service speculations or any misleading ideas that we are subjecting to a scheme to earn money or somehow get personal information from individuals. All we want is to build a connection with our fans in order to solidify our relationships to remind them of upcoming tour dates, nearby performances, or any updates we might have in order to refresh the memories of our fans. We were recommended on some international mail forwarding service sites but getting an international P.O. or Private box seems a little suspect, wouldn’t you agree? Although they offer great services they only require your personal information….sometimes to much information. I have scavenged many postal services sites and some websites seem a bit puzzling. Even though they have U.S. Postal Forms and identification requirements they false advertise and some sites even have numerous complaints from previous customers. If I were to come across one of these misleading websites how would I be able to recognize a true and faithful postal or forwarding service from any other website posing as a legit mail forwarding service? Are there any services that allows you to apply online if so this would be my first option to cut out the hassle and run around the postal services have been giving us. To get published- do I need a literary agent? Which publishing company is the best one??? I don't have an agent and I don't know how to get an agent, but I have a book already written and have been looking at publishing companies online. These companies say they will publish the book for free but not market it. How do I get a good publishing deal??

Is it illegal for me to provide my real estate buyer a discount/rebate for purchasing a home using me? Im a real estate agent and I have other real estate agent friends in other states and we came upon an idea to offer all of our potential customers discounts/rebates for using us to buy or sell a home versus other agents. Putting an ad in the yellow pages for example. Is this illegal in any state? Does anyone know? Also there are online companies that will market my services if I pay them a closing cost once I complete the deal, does anyone know whether that would be considered a referral and If we could get in trouble for that in some states or is that ok since they are calling it a closing cost and its not a percentage of my commission.
